Vincent Kompany heads the only goal of the game to give City a priceless win over United as the battle for the Premier League title closes towards its conclusion. Former youth team graduate and City’s youngest ever captain Tommy Caton dies of a heart-attack aged just 30. Caton had seemed set to be a future captain of England when he burst onto the scene as a 16-year-old in 1979 and he was still only 21 when Arsenal snapped up the youngster for £500,000 in 1983. His death came just a month after he’d announced his retirement from football.
