Oscar Bobb’s fine start to the 2023/24 campaign has seen the attacking City midfielder called into the senior Norway squad for next week’s EURO 2024 qualifiers against Cyprus and Spain.

Having been elevated into City’s senior squad over the summer after helping our Elite Development Squad win a third successive PL2 title last season, Bobb has gone from strength to strength.

Part of the City squad that won the UEFA Super Cup in Athens back in August, Bobb was then afforded his senior first team debut, coming on as a substitute in September’s 5-1 Premier League win over Fulham.

He then made his maiden Champions League appearance, again coming off the bench in our 3-1 home win over Red Star Belgrade.

The 21-year-old then earned huge plaudits for his individual contribution when making his first start in last month’s Carabao Cup clash away to Newcastle.

Now, having represented Norway’s Under-21s at this summer’s Under-21 European Championships, Bobb has now been called up into the Norway senior squad for their forthcoming October EURO 2024 qualifiers.

Ståle Solbakken’s side first travel to play Cyprus on Thursday, October 12 before then playing host to Spain in Oslo on Sunday, October 15 with both games getting underway at 19.45pm (UK).

Bobb’s City colleague Erling Haaland is also part of the Norwegian squad.
