The Norwegian international was one of City’s breakout stars during our pre-season tour of Asia last summer, going on to make 26 first team appearances and grab his first goals for the Club across 2023/24.
Still just 21, the midfielder is set to play a key role during this summer’s USA Tour, with City’s first fixture seeing us face Celtic at the Kenan Memorial Stadium tomorrow.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CITY’S USA TOUR
It’s been a memorable 12 months for the youngster, but he’s set his sights on continuing that rapid rise, taking inspiration from his fellow attacking midfielders to make that happen.
“What I look at is the players in my position,” Bobb said in his pre-match press conference.
“Bernardo, Phil [Foden], Jack [Grealish] maybe - they are consistent every training session and every game.
“I know I can work a lot and get better at that.
“It’s about constantly raising my level and being consistent.”
City have acquired another exciting young attacker in the form of Brazil international Savinho, who joined the Club from Troyes last week.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a hugely successful loan spell at Girona in 2023/24, helping the Spanish side secure Champions League qualification with 11 goals and 10 assists across the campaign.
Asked for his thoughts on City’s first signing of the summer, Bobb said he was excited to link up with the winger.
He added: “He [Savinho] had a great season at Girona.
“I remember a year and a half ago he was doing rehab at City, I spoke to him then and then he went to Girona and was flying from the start.
“I have seen him, he can go past players and I think he’s a great addition.”
