Following fellow Academy ace Micah Hamilton’s opener, the Norway international doubled our lead with a superb solo effort in the second half.
It represents his maiden for Pep Guardiola’s side after breaking into the first-team in 2023/24 after helping our Elite Development Squad to the Premier League 2 title last term.
And the 20-year-old explained he was delighted to score in front of the Club’s immense away support in Serbia’s capital.
“What a feeling,” he told TNT Sport.
“In front of our great fans and it was a pleasure. It was a very good atmosphere in the stadium.
“[It was] hostile, but we knew what we wanted to do as a team and in the end we got there.
“If I remember right, I think Rico intercepts, gets forward and gives me the ball. He makes a run [which] drags the defender with him.
“[I] cut outside and inside and just get it in the far corner. [I felt] relief, happiness, everything.”
Following Mahamadou Susoho’s introduction onto the field at the Rajko Mitic Stadium, City had a total of five Academy graduates on the field together.
The combative midfielder joined fellow youth-team products Bobb, Hamilton, Phil Foden and Rico Lewis to face the reigning Serbian Superliga champions.
It represents a source of immense pride for everyone at the City Football Academy who has played a part in each their footballing journeys so far.
And Bobb relished the opportunity to play with his fellow Academy teammates in the Champions League.
He added: “I think Rico on the pitch was one of the veterans!
“Me, Micah [Hamilton] and Mahamadou [Susoho] coming on – we enjoyed it a lot.”
