Pep Guardiola has given an injury update ahead of our Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

City beat Chelsea 1-0 on Saturday and there are no fresh injury concerns ahead of our match in Paris.

However, it was confirmed that Ilkay Gundogan - absent against Chelsea - will not return until after the international break.

“Ilkay is out until after the international break,” said Pep

The City boss also revealed that John Stones is ready to return to first team action soon.

The England defender is yet to play this season, picking up a knock after returning from international duty and then again while away with England.

Since his recovery, the form of Aymeric Laporte and Ruben Dias has kept Stones out of the starting XI, but Pep says he will return when the opportunity arises.

“He needs minutes,” said the boss.

“John arrived late and then after got injured when he came back. He then goes to the international team and gets injured.

“Now after one week, ten days, he is training again

“Ruben and Aymeric are playing well again, but I know John will be ready.

“He is a lovely human being and he will show the quality he has. Sometimes to rotate, sometimes you have to wait.

“And then every time you play, play good! Now Ruben and Aymeric are playing well.”

There was also some happy news for our match-winner at Chelsea, with Pep revealing Gabriel Jesus and his partner are expecting their first child.

“It’s important,” said Pep. “He is in love, happy to be a father, congratulations to him and his fiancée.

“I am happy for him. He is living a nice period in his life. He is in a good mood and when they both tackled this decision, they want to create a family.

“It is nice for him. Congratulations.”
