The victory was Pep’s 150th Premier League success – and saw the Catalan become the quickest manager in Premier League history to achieve the notable landmark.
Pep has become only the fourth manager to reach such a milestone at one Club and he has achieved the honour in just his 204th league game at the City helm – yet another a staggering achievement in Guardiola’s storied Etihad career to date.
For context, it saw him overtake the record of Sir Alex Ferguson, who had previously held the record for the quickest number of 150 wins – and it took the former Manchester United manager 247 games to chalk up that total.
Altogether just four English managers have reached that tally with a single club, with Arsene Wenger at Arsenal and David Moyes, during his time in charge at Everton, also reaching the landmark.
Here’s how Pep compares:

All told, nine different managers have reached 150 Premier League wins across their tenures, though several achieved that milestone with different teams.
And Pep still has the quickest return in that august company.

Reflecting on the latest magnificent milestone, the City boss said it was a proud moment for him and the Club.
But he insisted the focus was on seeking to keep improving and added there was even more to come from City.
“I’m quite proud yeah - we have won some games!” Pep said.
“I didn’t know (about the record), they told me (after the game).
“It’s a lot in the Premier League and we did it in a short time and it means what we have done these years is all together.
“A big compliment for the whole club, the chairman and there is more to come, and we are going fight and work and try to take good decisions to try and win more.”
