City will be in Turin for a 20:00 (UK) start on Wednesday after a battling 2-2 draw at Crystal Palace in the Premier League this weekend.
With a number of long term injury absentees, Guardiola says that playing Wednesday rather than Tuesday will give his staff a better opportunity to fully prepare the players capable of featuring.

“My people have started to study [Juventus] and fortunately we don’t play on Tuesday, we play on Wednesday so we have one more day to recover these players because we don’t have players to come back,” he said.
“We go to Turin to play the most important team in Italy alongside Milan, Inter but in terms of Serie A the team who won the most. It’s a nice stadium and we’ll try to get a good result.
“The doctors and physios are working incredible this season like never before I have ever seen but the reality is we have few players to rotate in this period.
“When we arrive in the Treble season for example it’s because everybody was there and involved.
“It’s not unlucky it’s life and it happens. We have to accept it and that’s the challenge.”
“That’s why the challenge has been given in winter in Selhurst Park and they did it.
“We could win but we could not do it and it’s football. This season will be like this.
“Don’t feel sorry, accept the challenge and maybe at the end we will have more satisfaction about the way we behave than in other seasons when we won the titles.
“All the teams, not just City, want all players fit.
“Sometimes unfortunately it could not happen and could be that way for longer. One way or another we are going to try.”
