The Catalan is currently in his sixth season at City, the longest he has spent as a manager at any football club.
It’s been a seismic period in our history, with Guardiola transforming our playing style and winning 10 major trophies to date.
And ahead of Saturday’s visit of Crystal Palace – his 200th Premier League game in charge of City – Guardiola says he could not wish for more support from the club as he looks to enhance an already superb record.

“I extended my contract because we got results, winning back-to-back Premier League titles, and many other titles,” he said.
“I could not be in a better place right now. I have everything I need to do my job as good as possible.
“[I am] surrounded by fantastic players. Sometimes players are sad because they are not playing but I have incredible staff who support me unconditionally.
“I have to find solutions to improve the team. This club remains so stable in many things, and I’m sure the next step, when I will be replaced, the manager will do an exceptional job because the bases are there.”
Guardiola also believes preparation is a vital part of his success.
In his 199 Premier League matches in charge so far, he has won 146, drawn 25 and lost just 28, scoring a remarkable 486 goals in the process.
It’s that kind of consistency on which his success here has been built - and he puts much of that down to his constant focus on the next assignment.
“I prepare for West Ham in the Carabao Cup like it was Club Brugge 10 days ago - the same,” Guardiola added.
“I want to win against Crystal Palace, I don’t look further away.
“Working this way is so important. I never thought I’d be six seasons here.
“I thought: Come for three seasons, do a good job, I don’t know what happens in the future.”
