And Pep Guardiola says he is waiting to see how Manuel Akanji and Kevin De Bruyne are ahead of Manchester City’s game in London.
Foden missed the midweek victory over Nottingham Forest due to illness while Ake was substituted late in the 3-0 win at the Etihad Stadium.
“He’s not ready,” the City boss said when asked about our number 47 at his news conference and said there is no timescale on his recovery.
Akanji was replaced at half-time against Forest and the Swiss defender will be assessed before the match against the Eagles.
“Nathan is out; Manu we’ll see,” Guardiola added.
The boss also confirmed that John Stones and Mateo Kovacic will not be in contention for the game as well as long-term absentees Oscar Bobb and Rodri.
Meanwhile, De Bruyne started the game against Forest after recent frustrations with injury niggles.
And Guardiola wants to be careful with the Belgium international to avoid any setbacks with the squad hit by so many injuries.
“We don’t have many players so we’ll see,” he added.
“[It took] a long time to come back. With a game every three days, we’ll see how he reacts to this amount of games.”
