And the boss says he is focused on achieving more success in order to ensure he can stay beyond the end of the season.
Guardiola has overseen a glittering period at City, winning two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and three League Cups in four full years in charge.
His contract runs out at the end of the current campaign, but he says his only desire is winning further silverware and earning an extended stay at the Club.
“I am incredibly happy here,” he said.
“I am delighted to be in Manchester and hopefully I can do a good job this season to stay longer.”

Meanwhile, Gabriel Jesus and Nathan Ake are both progressing well as they look to return from injury layoffs - and the pair could come back into Pep’s thinking this weekend.
Jesus has played just once this season, a goalscoring display in our 3-1 win away at Wolves in September, a game that saw him limp off with a muscle injury.
And Ake, a summer signing from Bournemouth, hasn’t played since the win over Arsenal a fortnight ago due a niggling groin problem.
Guardiola suggested both are nearing a return, but says Benjamin Mendy and Sergio Aguero remain sidelined.
“They [our injured players] are getting better,” he said.
“Now we have a training session, so we will have an update after.
“Gabriel is getting better, Nathan is getting better, Mendy hasn’t started training with the squad.
“Sergio is progressing. Still not available to train with us but progressing.”
