The Norwegian creative midfielder has been sidelined since the Community Shield last August with a leg injury.
However, addressing the media at Tuesday’s pre-match press conference, the City manager confirmed that Bobb - who returned to training earlier this month - was in the selection mix for arguably our biggest game of the season to date.
And Pep also confirmed that John Stones, who came on for the final 35 minutes of Saturday’s Premier League win at home to Chelsea, could also be in contention to feature.
“The guys who were there against Chelsea are there and I think Oscar came back as well,” Pep said when addressing his selection options.
“[John Stones] played 35 minutes [on Saturday] and played really well. We will see today how does he feel.”
New signings Omar Marmoush, Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov are all ineligible for the game.
The stakes couldn’t be higher and the scenario more straightforward ahead of Wednesday’s game.
Win and City will be assured of a place in next month’s last 16 two-legged play-offs.
Anything else however will see the 2023 European champions eliminated from the competition.
Looking ahead to the game, Guardiola urged his players to seize the moment and relish the opportunity.
But with Brugge coming into the match on the back of a 20-match unbeaten run, the City boss said he was also acutely aware of the threat posed by the Belgian side.
“The situation we have is we have to win the game and if not we will not continue in this competition,” Guardiola pointed out.
“We want to have a chance to play another two games to qualify for the next stages.
“It is not a problem, it is an opportunity, a challenge, and we will face it.
“I expect a tough, tough opponent. When a team is 20 games unbeaten - no losses - it is because they are good. There are no secrets about that.
“I saw their games and I saw the reason they beat Aston Villa, Juventus, Milan they played good. Celtic in Glasgow … they did really well.
“Different variations in the build-up and the man marking situation is always uncomfortable. We have to read well what we have to do.
“But every team - Manchester City included- has weaknesses. You have to discover them and punish them.”
