Pep Guardiola has been shortlisted for the 2021/22 Premier League Manager of the Season award.

The Manchester City boss is one of five contenders for the annual accolade and is up against Brentford’s Thomas Frank, Eddie Howe, Jurgen Klopp and former City midfielder turned Crystal Palace boss, Patrick Vieira.

Guardiola, who was named Manager of the Month in November and December, has guided City to the brink of a fourth title in five seasons.

The Premier League leaders need just four points from our final two games to win back-to-back championships for the second time under the Catalan, who has presided over another hugely impressive campaign.

City, who went 15 games without defeat between November and February, are currently on a club record 17 match unbeaten run away from home in the league, are the division’s highest scorers and also boast the best defensive record in the topflight.

Guardiola has won the award in three of the previous four seasons and would move into outright second on the all-time list if he was successful again this time around.

Supporters have until 18:00 (UK) on Monday 16 May to cast their vote for the boss, with the winner set to be announced on Tuesday 24 May.
