Six Manchester City players have been named in the 2020/21 PFA Premier League Team of the Year.

Ederson, Joao Cancelo, John Stones, Ruben Dias, Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan were all included in the all-star XI, which was voted for by their fellow professionals.

Their selection recognises the quality of their individual performances during City’s title-winning campaign, with all six playing a significant role in the Club’s success.

Ederson is included after winning the Golden Glove for the second consecutive season, keeping 19 clean sheets for Pep Guardiola’s side.

He was protected by the best defence in the league, with City conceding four fewer goals than nearest challengers Chelsea and that form is enough to see Cancelo, Stones and Dias named in the team for the first time.

The same can be said of Gundogan, our top scorer with 17 goals in all competitions, who delivered several outstanding performances on our march to the title.

De Bruyne is included for the second consecutive season and the third time overall after another typically influential campaign in which he scored six goals and provided 12 assists.

The Belgian, Gundogan and Dias are all in the running for the prestigious PFA Players’ Player of the Year award, as is Phil Foden and the winner will be announced from 7.30pm on Sunday 6 June at the awards ceremony, which is available to watch on the PFA’s social media channels.

Everyone at Manchester City sends congratulations to all six players on their very worthy inclusion in the PFA Team of the Year.
