Phil Foden's performance against RB Leipzig has seen him nominated for the UEFA Champions League Player of the Week award.

The England international was at his brilliant best at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night, as City secured top spot in Group G with a dramatic second half comeback.

Foden had a hand in all three of our goals as we came from behind to win 3-2 and extend our unbeaten run in Europe to 19 matches.

The visitors, who knew a victory of their own would see them finish top at our expense, took a shock two-goal lead in at the break through Lois Openda.

But the deficit was halved early in the second half when Foden threaded a perfectly-weight pass through to Erling Haaland, who ruthlessly dispatched his 40th Champions League goal.

City’s number 47 went from provider to scorer to draw us level with 20 to play, turning exquisitely away from Mohamed Simakan on the edge of the Leipzig area before firing into the bottom corner.

And the England international’s late cutback to Julian Alvarez, who confidently fired into the net from just outside the six yard box, completed the turnaround.

The vote is open to the public, with the poll closing at 14:00 (UK) on Friday, so have your say via the link below!

Foden is up against Benfica’s Joao Mario, Lazio forward Ciro Immobile and Galatasaray winger Hakim Ziyech for the award.
