Rico Lewis has been called up to the senior England squad as a replacement for Kyle Walker.

The 19-year-old Academy graduate played for the U21s on Friday as they ran out 5-1 winners over Azerbaijan.

However, he has now been moved to Gareth Southgate’s group ahead of Tuesday’s friendly with Belgium at Wembley.

He comes in for City team-mate Walker, who was substituted in the 20th minute of Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Brazil.

Lewis made his senior England debut back in November when he started the 1-1 draw with North Macedonia.

Our Academy graduate will now report to Tottenham Hotspur’s training ground on Monday and be hoping to add to his only cap so far.

He joins Phil Foden and John Stones in the senior setup.

Former City goalkeeper James Trafford, now at Burnley, has also received his first senior call up.

As well as Walker, Crystal Palace goalkeeper Sam Johnstone and Manchester United defender Harry Maguire have both withdrawn from the England squad.
