Rico Lewis has been named in Lee Carsley’s latest England Under-21 squad ahead of October’s international break.

The youngsters will face Serbia on Thursday 12 October and Ukraine on Monday 16 October as they look to stay top of Group F in their Under-21 Euros qualifying campaign.

It’s a second consecutive international call-up for Lewis, a deserved recognition for his recent performances in sky blue.

In his latest outing, the 18-year-old featured for the entirety of our 3-1 win over RB Leipzig in which he also got his first assist of the season to give us the lead against the Bundesliga side.

Lewis is joined by three City players who are spending the 2023/24 season out on loan.

Taylor Harwood-Bellis, James McAtee and Liam Delap, who are representing Southampton, Sheffield United and Hull City respectively, will also represent England this month.
