Riyad Mahrez’s brilliant strike in our 3-1 win away at Everton has been nominated for January’s Premier League Goal of the Month award.
The Algerian, who is in excellent form this season, hit a superb first-time effort from the edge of the area that curled onto the inside of the post and into the back of the net.
It sent us on our way to a fine win at Goodison Park – our 12th league win in a row, which moved us 10 points clear at the top of the table.
Mahrez has been nominated alongside Joao Moutinho (Wolves v Arsenal), James Ward-Prowse (Newcastle v Southampton), Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United v Everton), Mo Salah (Leicester v Liverpool), Matt Lowton (Crystal Palace v Burnley), Takumi Minamino (Southampton v Chelsea) and Jean-Phillipe Mateta (Brighton v Crystal Palace).
