The midfielder is currently spending most of his time back in his native Spain as he recovers from a knee injury but recently came back to England for a special celebration with our fans at the Etihad Stadium.
While at the CFA, we took the opportunity to dress the world’s best player in the finest formalwear to match the grandeur of the most prestigious individual award in the game.
Following a spectacular season domestically and internationally, the midfield linchpin was voted the world’s best player by a panel of journalists from the 100-top ranking nations - receiving the prize at a glitzy ceremony in Paris in October.
It followed his crucial role in City winning a historic fourth straight English top-flight title in 2023/24 before his precious displays helped Spain to Euro 2024 glory this summer which also earned him the Player of the Tournament accolade.
Now, alongside working on a return to fitness, the 28-year-old has taken time to reflect on his momentous achievements.
