While he has won the Nations League with Spain, international tournaments have ended in disappointment.
So he was full of raw emotion as the country secured a place in Sunday’s final following a deserved 2-1 victory over France.

After coming through this year’s ‘Group of Death’ by beating Croatia, Italy and Albania they dispatched Georgia in the last-16.
Georgia were one of the most entertaining sides of EURO 2024 and took a shock lead and an expert Rodri finish dragged Spain level before going on to win 4-1 .
It has only got harder but they overcame hosts Germany and then World Cup finalists France to set up a date with either England or Netherlands in the final.
