Rodrigo says it is a dream for him and his City team-mates to be challenging for the Treble.

Pep Guardiola’s side retained the Premier League title for a third consecutive season to become only the fifth club in the history of English football to achieve the feat after Huddersfield Town (1924-1926), Arsenal (1933-1935), Liverpool (1982-1984) and Manchester United (1999-2001 & 2007-2009).

And with the FA Cup final and Champions League final on the horizon, City are working hard on what could be another incredible chapter in the Club’s history.

For Rodrigo, being in contention to win the Treble is a dream come true.

“It’s a dream to arrive in this situation,” the midfielder said. “We have been fighting for nine months to arrive in this moment.

“We want to grab it. We want to be ourselves, to give everything. We have to keep with the same energy, the same mood, same ambition as the previous games.

“With this spirit and with the help of the people, we can achieve.”

And with the triumph in the three competitions to lead to the finals, comes a busy schedule.

Rodrigo highlighted the importance of the team recovering carefully before our final Premier League game against Brentford.

“The team is training good, and we have to recover,” he added.

“It’s important to rest because some players have played a lot of minutes this season, but at the same time you have to keep the level and not drop it.

“We’re doing amazing. We have to sustain the energy.”
