Rodrigo made his 200th appearance for City today after coming on as a late sub in the 2-1 win over Leeds United.

The Spanish midfielder joined City in the summer of 2019 and has proved to be an outstanding signing and perfect successor to Club legend Fernandinho in the holding role in the team.

Under Pep Guardiola, the 26-year-old has won two Premier League titles, two Carabao Cups and the Community Shield with the boss describing him as one of the best players in the world in his position.

In an impressive first season, Rodrigo made 52 appearances for City in all competitions and scored the winner in the Carabao Cup final win over Aston Villa in March 2020.

He followed that up with 53 appearances in the following campaign to help City to the Premier League and played 46 times last season as we won the title for a second successive year.

This season, the Spain international has already made 48 appearances, scoring three times including a spectacular opener in the 3-0 Champions League victory over Bayern Munich.
