Rodrigo is your Etihad Player of the Month after an impressive run of form in March.

The Spaniard wins the award for the second time having won the first one of the season in August 2023.

Phil Foden is the only other player to have received the majority of the vote from fans twice after he was named Etihad Player of the Month for December and February.

There is a sense of safety and reassurance when Rodrigo is on the pitch. That most likely comes from the incredible statistic that the midfielder has gone 43 games unbeaten in the Premier League.

But his resilience, perfect passing and defensive solidity are all vitally important attributes that shine through in every game Rodrigo plays in, with March being no different.

March was another busy month for Pep Guardiola’s side who featured in three competitions across five games which also included a brief hiatus for the latest international break.

The month started with one of the most anticipated fixtures in the calendar – City v United.

The 27-year-old teed up Foden for City’s first, and to draw us level, before assisting Erling Haaland for the third and final goal of our 3-1 win.

Then it was on to Champions League duty where Rodrigo featured for the opening 45 minutes in our 3-1 victory over FC Copenhagen. He assisted City’s third on the brink of half-time before being substituted for some well-earned rest.

He played the entirety of our intense draws to Liverpool and Arsenal which were separated by City’s 2-0 win over Newcastle in our quarter-final of the FA Cup. Another assist, this time to allow Bernardo Silva to put City ahead meant Rodrigo totalled four assists across the five fixtures.

Congratulations to Rodrigo on winning March’s Etihad Player of the Month award, and thank you to everyone who voted!
