Our Portuguese skipper says he is enjoying life under the new boss and believes the Blues will be a force to be reckoned with as the campaign progresses.
Asked how he felt the new campaign had started, Dias said: “Really positive. Obviously, lots of things have changed but, in the end, not changed that much.
“It’s new energy and we’re feeling good. Enzo has his specific ideas about the way he sees the game – offensively and defensively.
“Overall, it’s very much a game we were used to playing – then there’s details that make it different in different moments and I feel everyone is buying into the idea a lot.
“There’s a lot of us with the ball and that’s our main characteristics – I feel like in that way it’s a continuity, even though we are different.”
City’s busy summer transfer window has meant numerous comings and goings and a completely different look to this season’s squad.
Dias says it is part of football to see change of personnel – particularly the amount of arrivals and departures over the past three seasons.
“It’s part of the environment we leave in,” he said.

“New people come in and out and maybe this summer it’s been the most where people have left. If you consider the last three years, it’s a lot.
“It’s a cycle, every new person that comes in, comes for a reason and the same reason we all came here in the first place.
“That is to win and reach the top. We have to try and reach the most we can – it’s exciting and it’s a good feeling to be a part of it again.”
Dias has always one of City’s leadership group, but he is also now among our longest-serving players in this, his eleventh season with the Club.
He says he is more appreciative than ever of his role in the team and playing for a club like Manchester City.
“You have to enjoy it whilst it lasts because this is the best thing in the world,” he said.
It’s the experience of going through so much and winning so much with everyone before – it’s knowing what it takes to win and the consistency you need to have every day.
“It’s the ambition, how much you want it, and willing to sacrifice. Your discipline, understanding the messages from the manager, try and do what we must, and recognise the things that make you win.
“That’s when you become one altogether. It’s the experience but it’s also the simplest characteristics that make you become a winner.
“It makes me feel good because I have good realisation of the timeline of football – it goes so quick and I’m in a moment where I appreciate and I enjoy every opportunity I have to be on the pitch and play football at this level.
“I’m very aware of how special it is, and I try and take it to the pitch every time I go out there. I’m in such a good place in my career where I’m enjoying my football, enjoying every single moment and taking everything in.
“In pre-season, I felt we were building something. We weren’t all together so we could only work so much as a team and everyone buying into the same idea.
“The Community Shield was a tricky one for us – we were facing one of our main rivals in this moment.
“It was a tough one but at the same time, we don’t panic, we stay consistent to what we are doing and believe in what we are doing and it helps in that moment even to pass on the experience.
“Obviously it was a bad moment, we don’t like it, we hate it and it’s frustrating, but we need to keep on working hard.
“Then we started the Premier League, and it was a very difficult first game but at the end I watched the game and I felt like we were there and we actually had a really good performance.
“Some things can always be better, but I feel like we were very strong and dangerous.
“Maybe the second game is a conclusion of the feeling of the first one, but I feel like what we are building, we are building it strong and we are building step by step and in a very consistent way.
“I believe a lot in what we are doing and we have quality around us once more. With the right mentality and the right condition, anything is possible.”
