Brazil international Savinho is a Manchester City player.

The 20-year-old winger has arrived at the Etihad Stadium for the latest stage of a promising career.

He joins City after an impressive season at Girona, where he helped the underdogs to a third-place finish and Champions League qualification in just their second successive term in the top-flight.

There he played 41 times in total, scoring 11 goals and contributing 10 assists for his team-mates.

His 10 assists made him the third most creative player in La Liga, while he was Girona’s second most prolific scorer behind central striker Artem Dovbyk.

That form earned him his senior debut for his native Brazil in March and he has since gone on to represent his country seven times, including at this summer’s Copa America.

It’s been a rapid rise for Savinho, who struggled with injuries at PSV Eindhoven in 2022/23 in his first season in Europe after moving from boyhood club Atletico Mineiro, based in Brazil.

After making his debut as a 16-year-old, he played 35 times over two seasons at Atletico Mineiro, scoring in both the Brazilian Serie A and the Copa Libertadores.

Now, he arrives at the Premier League champions looking to make the next step.
