TEAM NEWS
Manchester City
Sergio Aguero (knee) will miss the game, but Fernandinho could be in contention to return after serving a two-match suspension.
Southampton
Sofiane Boufal could be back in action after being laid low with a thigh injury while Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is also seeking to recover from an ankle injury.
PEP’S VIEW
“The reality in the Premier League is we were not as a good as we were the previous two seasons,” he explained.
“We are better than 18 teams, but not better than one that destroyed the competition. Liverpool have done quite similar to what we have done in previous seasons.
“Now we have to recover our consistency that we missed this season.”
“That’s in the future. The present is to recover in three days, to prepare right for Wembley to play the semi-finals of the FA Cup, to try to retain the title.
“Next season will be next season. We have time to think about it.”
OPPOSITION VIEW: RALPH HASENHUTTL
“I have big respect for every team and it is not that surprising that they can sometimes score four if you don’t do a good job or give them too much space.
“They can absolutely hurt you like no other team.
“But we played them twice immediately after the Leicester game, so we had the situation of having to face Manchester City after an ominous result – away as well – and we were close to getting something. We lost 2-1.
“So now we are not scared. Respect, yes, for the way they are playing, but with big brave hearts.”

PREMIER LEAGUE RULE CHANGES
Whilst football is back, it is different from what we are used to.
The absence of fans is the most significant change, but a host of other measures have been implemented to protect players and staff, all of which will affect the matchday experience.
