The 30-year-old German goalkeeper made the move to City last summer, joining us from Arminia Bielefeld.
Armed with extensive experience from his time in Germany where he also played for 1860 Munich, Ortega has already made a big impression in his first six months at the Club.
To date, Ortega has made seven appearances in all competitions, keeping four clean sheets, the latest being during last Friday’s excellent 1-0 FA Cup fourth-round win over Arsenal.

Ortega’s impact has also been felt at the CFA training ground with his dedication, application and talent helping add further depth and quality to the Club’s goalkeeping department.
Reflecting on his time at City so far, Ortega revealed how he sought to push himself in every training session to ensure he was primed for action whenever called upon.
And he also highlighted how everyone at the Club had helped him quickly adapt and settle into both a new environment and new country.
“It’s all about the training. When I don’t play so much, I have to improve in the normal routine which is training in the week,” Ortega explained, speaking in the wake of Friday’s fine Cup win over Arsenal.
“When I prepare everything in the week, I feel ready for the game, so it doesn’t matter if it’s a training game or a cup game like Friday.
“I feel really good. I like it here.
“Everyone at this club is really friendly and wants to try to help you so it’s easy to settle in.

“I tried to show my best performance and I’m also good on the ball - not only in shot stopping. I felt ready and prepared on Friday.”
Our FA Cup triumph against Arsenal was the precursor to a crucial Premier League assignment with the Gunners which takes place at the Emirates in a fortnight’s time.
It’s an eagerly awaited game that will pit Mikel Arteta’s league leaders against second placed City.
However, though delighted to help us secure the cup win and so book a fifth-round date away at Bristol City, Ortega believes the league clash will prove to be a completely different type of challenge.
“Friday was an FA Cup game which was important to win to get through to the next round,” the German continued.
“But the next game against Arsenal (in the league) will be a different game.
“It was a good way to show that we are here.”
