The defender’s wicked low cross evaded everyone before nestling into the bottom corner on the half hour, with further strikes from Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus securing Pep Guardiola’s men a place in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
And when asked if he had meant to find the back of the net, he joked: “I saw the far post and thought I’d put it in the back of the net!
“No, it was a cross but we deserved a little bit of luck with the way we had been playing and I’m lucky to be on the scoresheet.”
The victory in South Wales means City’s incredible winning run now stands at 15 in all competitions.
But while Walker did reveal there have been some minor tweaks off the pitch this season, he stressed that the side’s meticulous preparation before every game has always been commonplace.
“Obviously we’ve made a few changes from last season, tactically with how we’re pressing and moving the ball around,” Walker reflected after the Swansea win.
“But I think since I joined here we’ve kept the same philosophy.
“The Gaffer knows what he wants, he’s proved it over many clubs and he’s brought that to City now and over the last four seasons we’ve been very good.”

While the hosts were not able to conjure an FA Cup upset, they certainly pushed City throughout, and grabbed a consolation goal fifteen minutes from time through Morgan Whittaker.
The Swans are flying high in the Championship, and harbour genuine ambitions of making a return to the top flight for the first time since 2018.
And while Walker was delighted with how he and his teammates negotiate a potential banana skin, he stressed that they were under no illusions about the threats the hosts were capable of posing.

He said: “We knew it was going to be tough, it’s the FA Cup, as I know growing up here you can always get surprises, we didn’t want to come here and get surprised.”
“Every season I’ve been here we’ve always been fighting for trophies… each and every game we play like it’s our last.”
