Gallery: Same Book, different chapters!

We’ve delved into the archives today to bring you a wonderful array of photographs to mark Tony Book’s 90th birthday.

Book is quite simply a Manchester City legend, not only a terrific footballer in his time captaining the Blues to League Championship, FA Cup, League Cup and European Cup Winners’ Cup glory but also a wonderful servant to the Club in his various roles in the years that followed.

He managed us to League Cup success in 1976 and a starlet side featuring Paul Lake and Ian Brightwell to Youth Cup honours in 1986 before, of late, becoming City’s Honorary President and Life President of our Official Supporters Club.

Today, we’ve catalogued a host of superb snaps from his years with the Blues.
