Pep Guardiola‘s men continue to regain our sharpness ahead of the 2021/22 season after a deserved summer break and were once again put through our paces in the baking Manchester heat.
The players are keen to hit concert pitch ahead of Tuesday’s pre-season friendly against Preston North End at the Academy Stadium, but there was still time for plenty of fun in the sun!
Riyad Mahrez and Benjamin Mendy were all smiles in particular, clearly enjoying being back out on the pitch as we ramp up preparations for the new campaign.
The boss was also in high spirits, clearly enjoying what he’s seeing from his squad thus far as we approach the end of the first week of pre-season.
However, he was still on hand to ensure everyone’s focus remained on Tuesday’s clash with the Lilywhites, encouraging and motivating the players in equal measure by passing on his expertise throughout the session.
