Kevin De Bruyne was part of the action as City put the final preparations in place for our FIFA Club World Cup semi-final earlier today.

The Belgian has been unavailable with a hamstring injury since the Premier League opener with Burnley in August and took another step in his recovery today.

It comes ahead of our meeting with Japanese club Urawa Red Diamonds at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at 18:00 (UK) on Tuesday 19 December.

That represents our first match in the Club World Cup in our history and we know victory will take us to Friday’s final.

Expert’s view of Urawa Red Diamonds

Should we succeed in the tournament, it will mean we become the first English club to win the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup in the same calendar year.

In order to have that honour, we first must get beyond the Japanese giants who stand in our way tomorrow.

Since arriving in the country on Sunday morning, the players have focused on adjusting to the heat of the Middle East and took to the pitch for the first time this afternoon.

Every match at the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup is available to watch in the UK on TNT Sports and FIFA+. For fans outside of the UK, click here to find out how you can watch the matches in Saudi Arabia.

The official Man City app will also have free live radio commentary as part of our usual Matchday Live show that includes studio guests previewing and analysing the action.
