In what was Kevin De Bruyne’s final match for the Blues at the Etihad Stadium, we delivered a fitting send off and boosted our Champions League credentials with a 3-1 win.
There was also a beautiful tribute to the legendary Belgian midfielder after full-time – but Pep Guardiola and his players were back to business at the City Football Academy on Wednesday ahead of our final Premier League game of the term.
We travel to Craven Cottage on Sunday 25 May, with kick-off in the capital scheduled for 16:00 (UK).
City currently sit third in the top-flight table, knowing a win over Marco Silva’s side will guarantee a place in the premier European competition next season – but we’ll have to be at our very best to collect three points against a Cottagers who have enjoyed a superb campaign.
With that in mind we partook in a recovery session and returned to the grass as our relentless preparation continued.
