Several City players were back at the CFA on Sunday morning as we look ahead to another busy week.

Less than 24 hours after the 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace, those that didn’t start at Selhurst Park took part in a full session in Manchester.

We came from behind twice in south London to earn a point against the Eagles, with Erling Haaland and Rico Lewis the scorers.

In a clash played out amidst appalling weather thanks to Storm Darragh, Palace went ahead through Daniel Munoz early in the first half and Maxence Lacroix after the restart.

However, City – who also hit the post through Ilkay Gundogan and largely dominated territory and possession – deservedly hit back through first Haaland and then Lewis.

An incident-packed encounter then saw Lewis sent off late on for a second bookable offence.

Now, attention turns to a huge week in both the Champions League and Premier League.

On Wednesday, we will be in Turin to face Italian giants Juventus in our sixth of eight league phase matches on Europe’s biggest stage.

After that, it’s back to Manchester to prepare for the first Premier League Manchester derby of the season on Sunday 15 December.

With all that in mind, it was back to work today.
