The City squad took off to Leipzig for our latest Champions League encounter…

Bad weather in Germany meant that Pep Guardiola and his players were delayed heading off for our second Group G game against RB Leipzig.

The two sides have made winning starts to the Champions League with City beating Red Star Belgrade 3-1 at the Etihad, while our Bundesliga opponents won by the same scoreline against Young Boys in Switzerland.

RB LEIPZIG V CITY | MATCH PREVIEW

It will be the fifth time that we have met each other in the last three years with City winning twice and drawing once.

Summer signing Josko Gvardiol will make his first return to the club while Rodrigo will also be part of City’s squad with his suspension not covering Europe.

And the team were in good spirits as we took off for our first Champions League game on European soil since lifting the trophy on that unforgettable night in Istanbul last season.
