The meeting of two sporting greats on the New York stretch of our US Tour...

Pep Guardiola was greeted by tennis legend Andre Agassi at the team hotel ahead of Saturday’s clash with AC Milan.

The pair shared a warm embrace, before the boss gifted his esteemed guest with a personalised City shirt.

A former world number one, Agassi was an eight-time grand slam winner during a storied career, and the second of just five male players to win all four.

That included two US Open titles in 1994 and 1999, the latter year also seeing him claim the French Open and complete the fabled Career Grand Slam in the process.

While he was born in Los Angeles, Agassi is one of New York’s most famous adoptive sons, and one of the most popular players to ever grace Flushing Meadows - situated in Queens, New York City.

And Guardiola was delighted to welcome the Tennis great into the team hotel, chatting about their respective careers and our stay so far in the United States.
