Manchester City recorded our 17th succesive away win in all competitions thanks to a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa at Villa Park in the Premier League.

It was the hosts who flew out the blocks and opened the scoring inside 30 seconds, as John McGinn rolled an effort in from 10 yards.

However City responded well, and goals from Phil Foden and Rodrigo flipped the game on it’s head to give us the lead five minutes before the break.

Despite this, Guardiola‘s side were dealt a blow moments before half-time, as John Stones recieved his marching orders for a challenge on Jacob Ramsey, following a VAR check.

The game was evened back out 10 minutes after the restart though, as Matty Cash also saw red after picking up a second yellow card for a late tackle on Foden.

A professional second half showing from Guardiola‘s side saw City see out the win, to move us 11 points clear of Manchester United at the top of the Premier League table.
