The best images from a resounding 3-1 win over Watford, which saw Manchester City move top of the Premier League table for the first time this season.

Sterling headed home his fourth goal in six matches from Phil Foden’s looping cross to the far post inside five minutes, setting the tone for a dominant City display.

Number two followed just after the half-hour when Bernardo poked home from a tight angle after Ilkay Gundogan’s initial effort had been saved by Watford stopper Daniel Bachmann.

And the Portuguese midfielder’s incredible form continued when he curled a delightful effort into the top corner after cutting inside from the right just after the hour.

The hosts pulled one back with 15 to play when Cucho Hernandez volleyed home after his initial effort had struck Ederson’s far post, but it proved a mere consolation rather than the start of an unlikely comeback.
