Bernardo Silva's exquisite flicked finish propelled City to a 1-3 victory over West Ham United at the London Stadium.

Pep Guardiola‘s men began brightly and almost had an early lead, but Rodrigo‘s triple effort was first saved by Alphonse Areola, blocked and then cleared off the line.

Erling Haaland had the two best chances of the first 45 minutes, his first drifting wide at the back post and his second cleared off the line from close-range.

The Hammers then took the lead against the run of play, with James Ward-Prowse heading in from Vladimir Coufal’s accurate cross.

Within 60 seconds of the restart, we levelled through Jeremy Doku‘s superb effort, cutting in from the left side and passing it into the far corner, claiming his first goal for the club.

Julian Alvarez almost completed the turnaround five minutes later, but his free-kick from 25 yards cannoned off the post.

With just under 15 minutes remaining, the comeback was complete, as Bernardo latched onto a scooped Alvarez pass to flick beyond Areola and into the net.
