Manchester City have qualified for the Champions League knockout stage for the eighth consecutive season as we progressed to the last 16 as unbeaten Group C winners.

Here is everything you need to know about the Round of 16 draw and who City could potentially face.

When is the Champions League draw?

The draw takes place on Monday 14 December at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. It gets under way at 11:00 (UK).

How can I watch the draw?

UEFA will be streaming the draw live on their website and if you’re living in the UK, you can watch it live on BT Sport 2.

Who can City face?

As one of the eight seeded group winners, we can be drawn against any of the unseeded runners up apart from Porto, as they were in the same group as us.

That leaves us with seven potential last 16 opponents:

  • Atlético (Group A)
  • Borussia Mönchengladbach (Group B)
  • Atalanta (Group D)
  • Sevilla (Group E)
  • Lazio (Group F)
  • Barcelona (Group G)
  • RB Leipzig (Group H)

Who else has qualified?

The seven other group winners are:

  • Bayern Munich (Group A)
  • Real Madrid (Group B)
  • Liverpool (Group D)
  • Chelsea (Group E)
  • Borussia Dortmund (Group F)
  • Juventus (Group G)
  • Paris Saint-Germain (Group H)

How does the draw work?

  • No team can play a club who qualified from the same group as them or a side from the same domestic league.
  • The seeded teams will play at home in the second leg.

When will the Round of 16 ties be played?

The first legs, when City will play away from home, are scheduled to take place on 16/17/23/24 February.

The second leg at the Etihad Stadium will be played on one of 9/10/16/17 March.

We’ll confirm the specific date here on mancity.com as soon as we are able to do so.
