Everything you need to know ahead of the FA Cup Third Round Draw, as City’s latest defence of the famous competition begins.

Pep Guardiola’s men enter the tournament as the holders, having come out on top against Manchester United in last year’s final.

A brace from Ilkay Gundogan, including the quickest-ever goal in the showpiece occasion, secured a 2-1 win in the first-ever Manchester derby FA Cup final.

It means City are looking to lift the famous trophy for an eighth time this season.

You can find all the information you need ahead of the draw for the Third Round below…

When is the Draw?

The draw will be broadcast live in the United Kingdom on ITV on Sunday 3 December ahead of Eastleigh’s fixture with Reading in the Second Round.

It’s set to get under way from around 13:15 (UK), while you can also find out who we will face in the Third Round on mancity.com, the app and over on our official X account.

Who is included in the Draw?

The Third Round sees all clubs from the top two tiers in the English football pyramid, the Premier League and Championship, enter the competition.

They are then joined by the 20 clubs who win their games over the weekend in the previous round.

In total, 64 clubs will enter the draw (though there will be a handful of games to be replayed) and 32 third round ties will take place.

When will the ties be played?

The fixtures are set to be played across the weekend of Saturday 6 January.

Should our clash be selected for live TV broadcast in the UK, then it could shift to either Friday 5 or Sunday 7.

Keep across mancity.com and the official Man City app for any fixture updates as and when they’re announced.
