Ryan McAidoo earned his Manchester City senior debut on Saturday, featuring in our FA Cup third round clash with Exeter.

Pep Guardiola called upon the 17-year-old who has impressed in the Premier League 2, FA Youth Cup, UEFA Youth League, Premier League International Cup and EFL Trophy in 2025/26.

His debut made him the first Academy player to be involved in our FA Cup fixture and our seventh debutant in 2025/26.

McAidoo joined City’s Academy in the summer of 2024. And in his first full season, McAidoo totalled 19 Under-18 Premier League North appearances, scoring 10 goals, to help City win the North title.

The quick, technical winger also impressed on the European stage. He had six goal involvements in nine UEFA Youth League appearances, helping City advance to the quarter-finals of the prestigious competition.

This season, the England youth international has featured at the Under-17 World Cup and has also transitioned to Premier League 2 football seamlessly, with one goal and two assists in five appearances as he continues to develop his craft in Ben Wilkinson’s Elite Development Squad.

Everyone at Manchester City would like to congratulate Ryan on this latest achievement.
