Manchester City resume our league campaign following the pause in domestic action with a trip to Wolves on Sunday 20 September, with kick-off at Molineux scheduled for 14:00 (UK).
Pep Guardiola’s side are yet to taste defeat in 2024/25 across our 10 assignments in all competitions so far.
However, last term we lost 2-1 on the road to Gary O’Neil’s side where a Ruben Dias’ own goal followed by Hwang Hee-chan’s strike helped the hosts to victory – meaning we’ll have to be at our very best to collect three points this weekend.
With just shy of a month until the next international break, FPL managers will be looking to maximise their points return in the coming weeks.

CITY STAR
Mateo Kovacic (£5.5m) looks a shrewd long-term investment ahead of a nice run of fixtures for Manchester City.
With Rodri (£6.3m) ruled out for the season, the Croatia international has been entrusted with marshalling the base of the Blues’ midfield.
Kovacic has played every minute since replacing the Spaniard in Gameweek 5. Since then, he has had 12 shots on goal (among City players, only Haaland and De Bruyne have had more) and produced three goals and an assist.
Those four attacking returns are bettered only by Haaland among his team-mates and indeed have made Kovacic the second-highest FPL points scorer at City.
ONE TO WATCH
Matheus Cunha (£6.5m) is Wolves in-form attacker, he has two goals in his last three appearances.
DIFFERENTIALS
Elsewhere, Brennan Johnson (£6.6m) and Liam Delap (£5.6m) remain low-owned gems who have good potential in Gameweek 8.
Johnson will be looking to score in his seventh consecutive match for Spurs, meanwhile Delap has now scored three goals in his last two matches for Ipswich.
