A superb Kevin De Bruyne quadruple inspired City to a 5-1 Premier League victory over Wolves, putting us three points clear at the top of the table.

Pep Guardiola‘s men made the perfect start, taking the lead after seven minutes through De Bruyne‘s accurate finish after being put through by Bernardo Silva.

The hosts hit back almost instantly through Leander Dendoncker, but De Bruyne put City back ahead, finishing calmly after Jose Sa blocked the ball into his path.

The Belgian completed his hat-trick after 24 minutes, powering the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the 18 yard box with his left foot, claiming the third fastest treble in Premier League history.

On the hour mark, the 30-year-old struck his fourth of the evening, accurately stroking into the bottom corner from ten yards.

The Belgian almost had his fifth goal involvement shortly after, playing Phil Foden through on goal but the Englishman’s effort cannoned off the post.

With just over five minutes of the 90 left to play, Raheem Sterling tapped in a fifth after superb build-up play from Jack Grealish and Joao Cancelo.
