The former City winger was impressed by the 20-year-old, who has been pivotal in our Premier League 2 success in the last two seasons.
Bobb, capable of playing across midfield or the forward line, replaced Cole Palmer on the right wing for the second half.

He fit in immediately, cutting in on to his left foot to dribble at defenders and provide space for right-back Joao Cancelo to overlap.
Coming on at 2-2, Bobb was one of 10 changes at half-time that gave City the lead and saw us run out 5-3 winners.
And Wright-Phillips believes he will have gained a lot from the experience in front of more than 60,000 fans at the Japan National Stadium.
“I thought he looked brilliant,” said Wright-Phillips, speaking on our Matchday Live show.
“I’d like to see him get at defenders more because he’s got that in his game to move them around.
“When he did square them up he tried to always pick out the right man and make the right decision, which is a fantastic start for a youngster in the first team.
“You can see him getting better and better and growing in confidence even more.”
Joleon Lescott, alongside Wright-Phillips on our live show, believes City fans can be happy with what they saw against a side currently partway through their campaign and seeking to defend their J1 League title.
“It was very good,” the former City defender stated.
“Eight goals made it entertaining for the fans, which is the main thing but the lads got some good reps in.
“There was a lot more rhythm than I anticipated. The first half was totally different to the second.
“In the second half there was a lot of fluidity in there. It was a recognised midfield rather than three players that are relatively new in the first half. That means you expected there to be more rhythm in the second and that’s what they delivered.”
Last season’s Premier League and Champions League Golden Boot winner Erling Haaland scored two of the three goals that sealed the win for us in the second period.
The first was an instinctive turn and finish just seven minutes after coming on before his second in the final moments of the game, latching on to a Cancelo cross to tap home at the back post.
Lescott doesn’t expect the goals to dry up for the Norwegian in his second campaign with City.
“If you give him any opportunities to score, sometimes even on half chances, he will convert,” he said.
“The second goal especially, Joao Cancelo played a great pass. If he plays like that, there are a lot more goals to come.”
