City will face Chelsea at Wembley Stadium in the first FA Women’s Community Shield since 2008.

The Football Association have confirmed this year’s competition will be a double header with the men’s and women’s games.

The traditional new season curtain-raiser will take place behind-closed-doors at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 29 August.

Reigning FA Women’s Cup holders City will take on Barclays FA Women’s Super League Champions Chelsea at 12:30pm, before the men’s FA Cup winners Arsenal will take on Premier League Champions Liverpool at 4:30pm.

The women’s game will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, while the men’s game will be shown BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate.
