Gareth Taylor‘s side have reached the midway point in our Abu Dhabi experience as we sharpen up for our first competitive fixture of 2025.
City welcome Ipswich Town to the Joie Stadium on Sunday 12 January, before a double header against Manchester United in the WSL and League Cup.
It’s a demanding schedule, but the players continued to sharpen up for their return with two separate training sessions in the United Arab Emirates.

A smaller group were out in the Abu Dhabi sun bright and early to sharpen up, featuring Lauren Hemp and Laura Blindkilde Brown among others.
Then later that afternoon it was time to head over to Hudayriyat Island for an Open Training session, held in front of a packed out crowd.
The squad came out onto the pitch to a rousing reception before posing for photos with the UAE Women’s National Team, who were in attendance.
After training, the players stayed behind to sign shirts and chat to the fans, while Khiara Keating also received her December Etihad Player of the Month award.
