The Blues take on the German giants on Tuesday 22 September, with our first UEFA Champions League fixture of 2026/27 set for 17:45 (UK).
It will be the first competitive encounter between the two sides, who both earned League and Cup doubles in their respective nations last season.
And in the build-up to the game, Jeglertz said his team are braced for a difficult battle ahead, but are ready for the challenge.

“I think we are prepared for that [to suffer],” began Jeglertz.
“We have seen that in a lot of games last year and in the game just a couple of days ago [against Liverpool]. There are parts in each game where the opponent is a little bit better than you.
“That will always happen whether that is Birmingham or Munich, these moments will happen. Some teams we played recently maybe the periods can be shorter but we need to deal with them.

“We saw the last game against Liverpool, the periods were a little bit longer but we have to deal with that.
“Coming into the Munich game tomorrow where there are periods they are a little bit better on the ball and have the momentum and we need to be good in dealing with that and not sinking too low or conceding scoring chances.
“That’s important, to make those periods as short as possible, but when they are, to respect them and really be on our toes and deal with that.
“If we do that I’m pretty sure that when we have our momentum we have the quality to punish them.”
Jeglertz also confirmed he had a strong squad to choose from ahead of our clash with Bayern Munich.
Iman Beney misses out after suffering a head injury in Friday’s 4-2 win over Liverpool, and the boss explained her absence a little further.
“Yeah, it’s a little bit of a decision made during the day that she is not at the moment ready to travel,” said Jeglertz.
And on if everyone else has recovered well from WSL action and was available for selection, he added: “Yes absolutely. The ones that we have reported in [the squad] yes.”

In that Liverpool game, Jeglertz utilised his squad depth as we saw Beney and Beth Mead start in place of Kerstin Casparij and Aoba Fujino.
And with the busy fixture schedule, that rotation is a challenge that excites Jeglertz and will prove key in the coming weeks, with City facing the prospect of four matches in 14 days.
“I think it’s a balance over these coming five games with Liverpool and the ones coming up. There are a lot of games, one every third or fourth day,” said the City boss.
“So we need from both performance wise, health issues, making sure the players are fit. We have built a squad that should be able to manage this and it’s my job is to pick the ones I feel have the best chance to win the game.
“That can be based on opponent, load and those things. There is definitely a lot to consider when selecting the starting 11 tomorrow.”
