The Jamaican surpassed a century for the Blues by netting four in our emphatic 6-1 win over Aston Villa which stretched our winning Barclays Women’s Super League streak to 10 straight matches.
It means Shaw is the first women’s player to total triple figures the club and she’s reached the feat in just 120 games.
After scoring the opener when directing a Vivianne Miedema cross home, she doubled her lead with a composed finish before the break.
Following the interval, she coolly dispatched her third before rounding off the scoring when directing Grace Clinton’s effort into the net.
For Jeglertz, he believes Shaw should be proud of the incredible milestones she’s reached but says there’s more to come from the clinical forward.
“I’m so happy for her,” he declared.
“This is my first season working with her, but what she’s done before. Just being around her everyday and helping her become a little bit better and what she’s doing for our team, it’s amazing.
“She should be very proud of what she’s done so far, but I also know there’s more to come.
“I think all our players are role models for young girls and for football players in general.
“They’re doing a great job in that and it’s also how she is as a teammate because that means something also for the other ones that if you are a superstar and not working hard everyday or following the team rules then there will be challenges.
“She is always doing her best and that’s the most important thing.”
The victory over Aston Villa was the perfect end to 2025 in the WSL as we maintained our six-point lead over second place Chelsea heading into the winter break.
By netting six, it also extends our position as the division’s top scorers so far this term with 32 goals in just 11 matches.
And Jeglertz is delighted with City’s relentless desire to score goals across 90 minutes in matches.
He added: “Scoring six goals in front of our own home crowd and people here and against Aston Villa, which I think is a good team, of course I’m very happy with that.
“The first half we were struggling a little bit in some parts of the game, but in the second half we dominated the game.”
“We are scoring two goals in the last 10 minutes again and it shows the attitude. Talking about the hunting, always wanting a little bit more. That has to be the drive for the team, we can never be satisfied and comfortable.
“If that happens, I think we will struggle. That always has to be seen in our team and that’s the key thing I’m talking about everyday. They are showing that in the game today, also.”
