Our Head Coach guided City to the WSL title in his first season at the helm – something only Sonia Bompastor had previously achieved in the competition’s history.
The Blues led the way from early November and wrapped up the title with a game to spare after Arsenal’s draw with Brighton & Hove Albion last Wednesday.

Victory over West Ham United on the final day also ensured City equalled our best-ever points haul in the WSL, with Jeglert’z side dropping just 11 across the entire campaign.
A 13-match winning run between September and February underpinned our march to the title, with the Blues beating Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea as part of that sequence.
We also finished the campaign with a 100% home record – winning all 11 of our fixtures at the Joie and Etihad Stadium while scored 38 times and conceding just eight.
Individuals have also flourished under Jeglertz’s guidance, with Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw finishing as the WSL Golden Boot winner for a record third successive season, and Kerstin Casparij grabbing the most assists in the top flight.
Only Chelsea’s Hannah Hampton recorded more clean sheets than Ayaka Yamashita’s seven as well, with City conceding just 19 times across the 22-game campaign.
Jeglertz came out on top in a shortlist which also included Tottenham Hotspur’s Martin Ho and Arsenal’s Renee Slegers.
Everyone at City would like to congratulate Andrée on being named Barclays Women’s Super League Manager of the Season.
