The exciting 20-year-old forward joins the Club from Toky Verdy Beleza in her native Japan, where she has already become an established international.
Winning the WE League Valuable Player Award in consecutive seasons between 2021 and 2023, the youngster was also standout player for her nation at last summer’s World Cup.
She will take on number 20 from new team-mate Jill Roord, who will become City’s new number 10 ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
Fujino becomes the fifth different owner of the shirt, with Roord the first player to wear it since Lucy Bronze between 2020 and 2022.
Before the England international, Republic of Ireland defender Megan Campbell had represented City as our number 20 for three years until she took on number five in her final season at the Club in 2020.
The first owner of the shirt, however, was Georgia Brougham, who featured eight times for City, including the Continental Cup final in 2014 where we lifted our first trophy as a professional side.
