The decorated goalkeeper has become our fifth summer signing – joining the Club WE League outfit from INAC Kobe.
A Japan international, the 28-year-old has signed a three-year deal at the Joie Stadium which will keep her in Manchester until the summer of 2027.
Yamashita’s arrival at City represents her first spell outside of Japan where she won a swathe of honours including five Nadeshiko Leagues and five Empress’s Cups.
What’s more, she was also named the WE League’s Most Valuable Player at the end of the 2021/22 campaign.
Pictured at the City Football Academy ahead of putting pen to paper on her City contract, Yamashita posed for photographs before conducting her first interview with the Club’s media team.
